Lots of new pilots got overwhelmed with so many different terms and devices in different systems.
It could be very confusing and frustrating to new flyers or cadet prep-ers.
I have a little mental notes to generalize and aid memorize all systems. I hope it would help you guys as well.
Regardless what system you encounter, it is generally follow similar idea.
Source: Storage of the power (Reservoir/Batteries) (Pneumatic is air from the atmosphere.
Generator: How it got pressurized? (Hydraulic pumps/ Generators/ Compressor from the engine)
after "generator", the system is pressurized/ charged;
Protection: To protect the system by Relief valves or Circuit breakers
Control & Regulate: To regulate how much energy required to do Work
Service: the outcome
Of course, every aircraft system has its own design; but this is a nice way help remember and understand systems.
